Casa de Paz runs a visitation program inside the immigrant detention center. There are many people who are detained and have no family or friends who are able to visit them. Either their family is also undocumented and unable to enter the facility, or they live out of town.

Our visitors accompany people who are detained by simply stopping by to say hello, see how they’re doing and begin a new friendship. Our visitors are not a source of legal advice or monetary support, they are there seeking to end the isolating experience of being detained and affirm the humanity within each person.
