Got Phones?

Casa & Casitas

Over the last two weeks Casa has hosted 82 people from 12 different countries. Welcome, friends! Some days, we see a couple people released and other days we see twenty. Thank you to the volunteers in the last couple weeks who’ve supported our hosts! To volunteer please click here.

Over the last couple weeks we have been working on revamping programs. We’re looking for families who may be interested in joining Casitas. Casitas “little houses” where folks open their homes for our friends for a couple nights. We are inviting the community to open up their homes and host one guest for a couple of nights as they transition from detention to their families in the US.

Dozens of volunteers have been opening up their homes in the past. When there weren’t enough beds at Casa de Paz, a volunteer would offer their home.

If you are interested in this please fill out this form.

Got Phones?

Do you have an old phone that’s in good condition? If the answer is yes, we’d love it if you could donate it to us! Most of our guests have a phone when they’re released, but we still have some guests from time to time that need a phone. Please donate it to us! Message us for more info.

Post Release Support & Bonds

We’ve received a few requests from different organizations for our volunteers to help with rides to USCIS, ICE check-ins, appointments, and posting bonds. In the past, when organizations needed help, they would post on the volunteers facebook page. Casa’s Facebook, alongside with the volunteer group was deleted and unfortunately we were unable to get that back. However, we’ve created a new one! But it will take some time before it’s up and running and it has a good number of our volunteers. For now, if you’re available and interested in assisting, please send us a message so we can add you to a Signal group.

You can request to be added to our Facebook volunteer group here.

Thank you for all you do.
